“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”

                                                                   ~ Mark 9:37

We take great care in helping children become true disciples of Jesus Christ. Our Sunday School programs engage them in their faith by teaching the hope and grace of God’s Word and having lots of fun. Each week, we reinforce what Jesus taught the little children: God loves you! In our nursery, infants and toddlers are introduced to their church home. Our trained and nurturing caregivers provide a safe environment, giving you peace of mind while you participate in church activities.

This year VPC Children’s Ministry wants to help you as you are Raising Arrows. Each week children participate in lessons designed to point kids toward the mark of knowing Jesus. They will play games, hear stories, make crafts, build relationships and have fun with each lesson.

Nursery: Infants through 18 months, Sundays 8:45AM until noon

Toddlers: 18 months through 2 years, Sundays during 9AM and 10:30AM services only

Here infants and toddlers are introduced to their church home. We provide them with a safe and enjoyable environment, giving you peace of mind while you to participate in church activities.

Food and Snacks

We serve snacks to the toddlers during their time with us. Due to the seriousness of food allergies, we maintain a NUT-FREE environment. Therefore, we respectfully ask that you do not send any food with your children (except infants).

Diaper bags

Each child should have a small bag/pack that easily fits on nursery shelf. We recommend putting your name somewhere on the bag. Suggested items include: bottles, change of clothes, pacifier, diapers/wipes, and a favorite blanket.

Second grade families, join us as we talk about being good stewards of our resources and handling our money in a Godly way.

Fourth grade families, join us as we talk about serving together and how that fits with being a disciple of Christ.

Fifth graders will learn about communion and prepare for the transition to youth group, while parents have their own class on blessing their child as they enter Junior High. First grade parents will learn to guide their children in worship, giving them techniques to encourage a positive attitude toward worship as a family.

The safety of your children is of critical concern to us. As such we require all Children's Ministry volunteers to complete various training programs and submit to a thorough background check. The VPC Protection Policy outlines in detail the processed in place to keep our kids safe.

We also employ Kids Check, a secure check-in system that is easy to use and adds an increased layer of safety and peace of mind. Please click here to register your children for Kid Check. Choose "I am a parent and I want to create a free account."
