Questions Week 18, Day 5

by David Joynt on August 31, 2017

ACTS 2:42

In the Christian faith, there is genuine substance to the idea of spiritual development. To mature is to become more like Jesus. This means overcoming my “besetting sins,” whether they involve pride or greed or laziness. It means growing in love, joys, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, generosity, and self-control. It implies a deeper knowledge of God’s will and ways and a deeper capacity to be obedient. It means becoming a more effective witness and peacemaker. It is progressing in humility.
