The Originals, Week 6, Day 7

by David Joynt on February 17, 2018

Acts 12:17 | 15:13 | 21:18

James ended up as one of the key leaders in the early church in
Jerusalem. He went from younger brother, to doubtful sibling, to
foundational force in the formation of the church.

Not everyone's relationship to Jesus is simple, straightforward,
and clear. Some grasp a portion of his identity and only gradually
accept his Lordship. Others rebel and resist before changing
course and returning. This is both frustrating and hopeful. The
frustration is that we can regress and move backwards, losing our
faith and effectiveness. The positive side is that early mistakes
don't determine future potential and impact. Once James met his
resurrected brother, his doubts and worries went away.

Has your relationship with Jesus been up and down?

Pray for someone currently disconnected from his or her faith.
