Best Marriage Ever Devotional 10

GENESIS 3:6 |So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was a delight to the eyes and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate.

Imagine how differently the story might have gone if Adam and Eve had really discussed the serpent’s suggestion. Adam might have wondered whether the serpent was trustworthy. Eve might have pointed out the gap between the God who had created and provided for them, who had trusted them with great tasks, and a slithering reptile who had never blessed them in any way!

Adam could then have said “why not give God a chance to explain the restriction concerning the tree of life? Perhaps God’s restriction is actually protection.” Eve might have raised the issue of consequences, it is one thing to defy a snake and another the author of life.

So much pain and difficulty in relationships comes from misunderstanding or an incomplete grasp of things.

How good are you at asking questions?

How patient are you in thinking before acting?
