Christmas at the Movies: Week 3, Day 6

1 John 4:7-12

Our energy is limited. We can only stay awake so many hours.
We can only accomplish so many tasks, run so many errands,
make so many calls. Our time too is a limited resource. No
manner of praying will make an hour one minute longer or extend
a day one hour more.

But as Joseph discovered, love and mercy and grace are not
limited resources. The more we love the greater our capacity to
love. Our hearts, when connected to the purposes and person of
God, grow in limitless ways. As we open our hearts, we find they
have additional room, like a house that keeps growing new wings.

Are you good at stewarding your limited resources of time,
energy, and money?

Are you good at taking the faith risks that expand your capacity to
love?
