Christmas Playlist Devotional 28

by David Joynt on December 25, 2021

John 1:14 | 14 And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son, full of grace and truth.

Jesus brings things together. As the word, or logos, through when all things were made, he brings together the creation and human history. We can never look at the vast material world indifferently because the hands that shaped it are the same as the hands which reached out in love and invitation in Jesus. The intricate ways that we are connected to the world through biology, physics, and
chemistry and the natural process with their law-like order all point to someone who seeks to save and guide us. Jesus brings together God and His creatures too, because he is full of grace as well as truth. Truth reveals our imperfections and brokenness, as well as our possibilities and potential. Grace overcame our imperfections and brokenness, unlocking our future.

Memorize this verse. Use it as a prayer of gratitude and praise.
