Faithful: Faith shares, Day 20
by David Joynt on January 25, 2019
NUMBERS 5:5-7 | The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Speak to the Israelites: When a man or a woman wrongs another, breaking faith with the Lord, that person incurs guilt and shall confess the sin that has been committed. The person shall make full restitution for the wrong, adding one-fifth to it, and giving it to the one who was wronged.
“When a man or woman wrongs another, breaking faith with the Lord, that person incurs guilt...and shall make restitution.” The assumption underneath this legal provision is far-reaching. There are no private relationships! God is the third party in every relationship we have. Harming someone, or helping them, is never just a matter between the two parties. For when we harm someone, we break faith with the Lord, and when we bless someone, we strengthen our faith with the Lord.
It requires faith to see that the invisible God is part and parcel of all our visible, human interactions.
As you relate to others today, remember God is present and part of each moment.
