Pray Without Ceasing, Week 8, Day 55

by David Joynt on July 26, 2019

PSALM 139:13-16 | For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes beheld my unformed substance. In your book were written all the days that were formed for me, when none of them as yet existed.
EPHESIANS 2:10 | For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.

His knowledge of us is purposeful. We were created for great ends —to glorify and serve God, to claim kingdom citizenship, to display and share his love and truth, to enjoy Him forever. He was at work for generations in hundreds and thousands of relationships to bring about your particular genetic and personal self. Your uniqueness testifies to his special intent for your life. His knowledge and love for you are not generic things, but particular.

Where does worth come from?

What do you make of God’s great purposes for us?

How does his knowledge enable those purposes?
