ACTS 2:43-45 | 43 Awe came upon everyone because many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 All who believed were together and had all things in common; 45 they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need.
One of the things I love about the church is the concrete opportunities it provides for all of us to make valuable kingdom investments. As we come to acknowledge our rule as His asset managers, there is a new freedom and a new responsibility. We are freed from the fruitless enterprise of securing our futures through finance, and we have a sure and certain hope that will provide a future for us beyond what we can imagine. We have a new responsibility too. We must be wise in our kingdom generosity and investment. We must seek mission endeavors that have a high yield, addressing real needs in powerful ways.
The church helps us identify and evaluate these partners and multiplies the impact of our generosity through collective gifts. We get to celebrate, together, the kingdom impact.
