VPC 2.0 Daily Devotional-28

by David Joynt on October 31, 2020

1 chronicles 29:20-22 | 20 Then David said to the whole assembly, “Bless the Lord your God.” And all the assembly blessed the Lord, the God of their ancestors, and bowed their heads and prostrated themselves before the Lord and the king. 21 On the next day they offered sacrifices and burnt offerings to the Lord, a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their libations, and sacrifices in
abundance for all Israel;
22 and they ate and drank before the Lord on that day with great joy.

After all had given, everyone celebrated. I am looking forward to some serious celebrations too, here at VPC. Years of planning and design and generous giving have renewed “the Temple,” as well as other places and spaces for ministry on our campus. We are working on how to celebrate it all during the current stage of the COVID crisis, which seems to shift on a weekly basis.

Eventually, there will be some glorious celebrations, for it is just too marvelous to count the generous gifts of time and treasure that have built new venues for friendship, outreach, worship, and inter-generational connections. Our mission partners also want to join in. Thank you to everyone!! Pray for wisdom on how to express our joy and excitement in this complex time.

Which new element in our physical structure excites you most for our ministry opportunities?
