EPHESIANS 4:13 | 13 until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ.
The key goal that should unify our church’s efforts is helping people become more like Jesus. Paul believed that our unity was based in acquiring the faith, knowledge, and stature that was visible in him. He was the definition of maturity. What a lofty and exciting goal! Young basketball players want to play like Devin Booker or LeBron James. In every field, from athletics to the arts to business, there are icons and models to which people aspire.
The church aims to help people have the wisdom and passion of Christ, to display His conviction and compassion, His joy and empathy, His commitment to justice and faith, and most of all, His amazing love.
