Questions Week 5 Day 4

by David Joynt on May 31, 2017

DAY 4 WEDNESDAY

JOHN 1:14; 4:13; 5:26-27; 6:35; 8:12; 8:57-58; 10:7-9

The discussion so far makes a simple and concrete point—Jesus’ teaching about God and about his own relationship with God is unique and not known through any other channel. Further, Jesus claims to have an irreplaceable role in the salvation and restoration of human life and creation. He is the shepherd of the sheep, the only gate to enter the sheepfold, the bridegroom who controls the guest list for the wedding feast, the bread of heaven, the light of the world, the only one who has come down from above, the fountain of Living Water, the Eternal Son of the Father, the Giver of the Holy Spirit, and the Final Judge. In him alone, the N.T. claims, the fullness of God has been pleased to dwell. These unique and exclusive claims are at the heart of Christianity. Do you accept the uniqueness of Jesus and his special role in revelation and salvation?

FAMILY TIME— Take one of the “Jesus titles” from today and talk about it.
