The Anthony Bates Foundation (ABF) believes that no parent should suffer the heartbreak of losing a child to an undiagnosed cardiac malady; and they seek to eliminate preventable Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). 1 in every 7 screenings have heart issues, sometimes life threatening! The fast and easy screening takes 30 minutes or less, and includes blood pressure, ECG/EKG, ultrasound/echo, and physician review. VPCs Deacons are working alongside SUSD, PVSD, Temple Solel, and local sports teams to promote and provide our youth with this potential live-saving opportunity.
