Reading The Prophets In A Time Like Ours

What could the ancient prophets possibly offer the anxious world in which we live? They are old and dated, aren’t they? They are mostly gloomy. In this class we will re-read these great texts, some of them the greatest writing ever written. We will seek to discover a new narrative that God announces through Isaiah: “I am about to do something new. Look for it!” We want to read these prophets carefully to see what the loving God of the universe has in store for God’s people, to rescue us, redeem us, comfort us. Join us for this stimulating exploration of what the prophets have to offer for each of us and for our time.
