Senator Kyl will discuss the weekly House and Senate prayer breakfasts in which he participated, as well as the shared understanding of Christianity our forefathers used when founding our government. VPC’s Adventures in Learning team is happy to host this event.
Senator Kyl is a long-time member of Valley Presbyterian Church. He earned bachelor’s (1964) and law (1966) degrees from the University of Arizona where he served as editor of the Arizona Law Review. After being admitted to the state bar in 1966, he practiced at a Phoenix law firm for the next 20 years. He served as a congressman from 1987-1995 and as a Senator from 1995-2013 and 2018-2019. In 2007 he was elected Senate Minority Whip. The Kyl Center for Water Policy at Arizona State University was named after Senator Kyl, a leader in water law and policy.
