Join us for this exciting moment in VPC’s history! This Sunday we will worship together at a single service then gather for a Congregational Meeting to vote on the Pastor Nominating Committee’s nominee to be VPC’s next Senior Pastor, Chris Woodard.
What to Expect:
VPC has only had five Senior Pastors across the church’s 70 years; Sunday’s vote will be for our sixth. This is an exciting and uncommon experience in the life of our church. Here’s what to know and expect:

VPC Covenant Partners (members) can vote on the PNC’s nominee. If you have questions about your membership status, email Kris Bahr.

The Congregational Meeting will be livestreamed, to vote you must be present in the Sanctuary.

VPC's former Interim Congregational Care Pastor, Ron Hawkins, has been appointed by the Presbytery to moderate the Congregational Meeting. A pastor is required to moderate a Session or meeting of the congregation. Pastor Tina is away at her son's wedding, and Pastor Chris cannot moderate the meeting. We are thankful for Pastor Ron coming back to assist with this important part of the process!

Clerk of Session Mary Artigue will assist with the Congregational Meeting.

The PNC will deliver brief remarks about the process and nominee. Pastor Chris and his family will be introduced then ushered out of the meeting.

Traditionally the congregation will express their decision through a voice vote.
