The great Reformed theologians agree on numerous principles, but one great dividing point persists: does God select those who come to faith (predestination) or does God give us complete freedom to accept or reject Him (free will). With Biblical text to back both views, this seemingly simple yet deep and complex issue often gets overlooked in modern Presbyterian churches. This six-week course delves into this fascinating topic that goes to the heart of the nature of God and His relationship to us. Wally Larson, Jr. is an attorney whose core area is the rules and laws governing lawyers. A Phoenix native, he lived and worked in New York City for 25 years, where he had the privilege to serve alongside the late Reverend Dr. Timothy Keller as Elder at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Wally moved back to Phoenix in 2021 and works remotely for his firm. He enjoys reading history, theology, and teaching God’s Word.
