All in for August!

We are getting ready for all things back to school and can't wait to see YOU!

August 10, 9 and 10:30AM

The Back to School Blessing is August 10th during our 9 and 10:30 worship services. Children may wish to bring their backpacks, for which we will be handing out zipper pulls! This is a Family Worship Sunday*!  Nursery is available for children 2 and under. Children 3 years old and up get to enjoy worshiping with their family! (*More info below.)

Sunday School kicks off, August 17!

Sunday School for children ages 3 years old through 5th grade kicks off on August 17th. Children will head to their Sunday School classrooms with their volunteer leaders following the children’s message at either the 9 or 10:30AM worship services. We ask that ALL children are re-registered annually. Click on the link here!!

Last Summer Sunday School!

Sunday, August 3, is our last Summer Sunday School! Children ages 3 y.o. through entering 1st grades are invited to join us for Summer Sunday School following the children’s message at 9 or 10:30AM worship services. They will enjoy games, crafts and videos about the Awesome Animals in God’s creation. Older children get to worship with their parents all summer, and worship packets will be available!

Family Worship

Periodically throughout the year, we encourage families to worship together. This summer May 25, July 6, and August 10 are Family Worship dates. Family Worship is a great time for parents to model and teach their children about worship. On Family Worship Sundays our team provides parent guides with worship packets for older kids. Tina Gilbreath

Tina Gilbreath, her husband Todd, and her 4 children Wil, Annie, Adam & Charlie have been members at Valley Presbyterian church since 2005.  Originally from Tucson, she is a Wildcat through and through and received her BS in 1988 and BA in 1997 at the University of Arizona. She also received her master’s degree in education in 1995. Before staying at home with her kids she taught middle school and led teacher training and staff development at both the district and university levels.

She felt God calling her into ministry at VPC in 2007, and since then has enjoyed working with the children, families, and volunteers at VPC to create dynamic children’s ministry programs and events. As Director of Family Ministries, she relishes helping families nurture the faith of their children, a passion for her. When not having fun hiking, traveling, or hanging out with her family she enjoys reading, painting, and crafting.
