'Tis the Season!

Advent.ure is December 3

Start the Advent season off with this Fun Family Advent Experience! From 5:30-7:30pm we’ll have a chili cookoff, dinner, photobooth, Christmas craft, prayer stations**, present wrapping for MentorKids, and you can pick up candles and a devotional for your Advent Wreaths. **At 6pm we will all go to the Sanctuary for the first prayer station! ***email if you’d like to enter a crock pot of chili in the chili cookoff.

Nativity Pageant is coming soon!

Don’t miss out on this fun tradition! Fourth and Fifth graders watch for separate communication as there are special roles for you! Email if you have questions.

Children who wish to participate should plan on the mandatory rehearsal Saturday, December 20 from 9-10:30~AM AND the pageant on Sunday, December 21st at both 9 and 10:30AM services (plan to be at church 8:15 to ~11AM). Use the LINK HERE to sign up children 3 years old (in Sunday School thru 3rd grades).

Sunday School continues thru Dec. 21!

Children will head to their Sunday School classrooms with their volunteer leaders following the children’s message at either the 9 or 10:30AM worship services. December 24 and December 28 are family worship. Sunday School resumes on January 4.

Oasis Kids!

OasisKids! (K-5th grade) and OasisMinis! (3y.o.-5y.o.) resumes January 7, 6-7:15PM

Tina Gilbreath

Tina Gilbreath, her husband Todd, and her 4 children Wil, Annie, Adam & Charlie have been members at Valley Presbyterian church since 2005.  Originally from Tucson, she is a Wildcat through and through and received her BS in 1988 and BA in 1997 at the University of Arizona. She also received her master’s degree in education in 1995. Before staying at home with her kids she taught middle school and led teacher training and staff development at both the district and university levels.

She felt God calling her into ministry at VPC in 2007, and since then has enjoyed working with the children, families, and volunteers at VPC to create dynamic children’s ministry programs and events. As Director of Family Ministries, she relishes helping families nurture the faith of their children, a passion for her. When not having fun hiking, traveling, or hanging out with her family she enjoys reading, painting, and crafting.
