2020 Vision, Week 1, Day 2

2 CORINTHIANS 4:14 | Because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will bring us with you into his presence.
Toward the other end of this passage, we find another sentence of supreme confidence. Yesterday’s confidence was in truth, confidence in the teaching and person of Christ, God’s unique emissary and only son. Today’s confidence is more personal. Paul trusts his life into God’s hand, believing that earthly endings give way to a new beginning through the power of the Resurrection. He has existential as well as intellectual confidence, trusting in Christ to bring life as well as understanding.
Which form of confidence is harder for you?
Which came first?
How are the two related?
Ask God to give you intellectual and existential confidence.
