A New Heart for the Valley Week 2, Day 7
by David Joynt on March 03, 2018
Peter’s second letter, chapter one is full of strong conviction. He says that faith can be supported by goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love. Our characters can deepen and grow, confirming our call and election until “entry into the Kingdom of our Lord is richly provided for you.” He can face the end of his own life calmly and with purpose. This conviction is rooted in the experience of worship he had on the mountaintop! Lived experience of God’s voice and Jesus’ glory sustains him. So it should us also.
Pray that in our worship God’s glory is manifest and his voice heard.
