A New Heart for the Valley Week 3, Day7
by David Joynt on March 10, 2018
Jesus invited the horrified scribes to do some self-examination. Where is their concern for the suffering of the paralyzed man? Why do they not understand God’s desire to free people from sin and guilt? Why is their critical spirit so strong they cannot rejoice at the good deeds of mercy he has been doing? In defending God’s authority, they miss his activity. Then Jesus invited the paralyzed man to stand and walk. Atrophied muscles strengthened, unused ligaments began to work, unpracticed limbs moved. When people come into the presence of God, various kinds of healings happen, and wholeness spreads. Our worship and our wonder grow and find expression.
We know God’s attitude to the hurting and helpless because of these moments in the Gospels. Do you agree?
What moves you to glorify God?

Have you ever experienced healing—physical or emotional?
