Dwell in the House of the Lord Volume 1, Day 15

PSALM 23:3 | 3 he restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Life can be depleting. Human beings can degrade like batteries, which gradually lose the capacity for a full charge. If our sleep is interrupted or fitful, if our work is too exhausting, if we are under pressure or helpless or battling a health condition we can run out of energy. In fact even vigorous women and men are fragile—we can only survive a limited time without rest, recovery, and replenishment. Even at full charge our batteries can be insufficient for some demands or for multiple tasks.

A good shepherd is always planning ahead for his sheep, seeking pasture and water, observing the status of the flock.

 How charged is your battery?

What depletes you?
