Dwell in the House of the Lord Volume 1, Day 25
by David Joynt on July 01, 2020
Ephesians 4:1-3 | 1 I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience,
bearing with one another in love, 3 making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
One of the most exciting aspects of the God-led life is depth of
relationship. We learn to mourn with the mournful and rejoice with the celebratory. The practice of confession hones our capacity to be honest and real about our own troubles. Jesus’ empathy allows us to listen compassionately to others’ struggles.
Casual associations become personal. Kingdom work, taken on
together, forges deeper bonds. Accountability comes with being known. We become sources of grace and encouragement for each other. Shallow relationships are abandoned because we are loved by God and can take risks with one another.
Are your relationships deep?
