Dwell in the House of the Lord Volume 2, Day 53

Psalm 23:6b | 6b and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.
JOHN 14:1-3 | 1 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also.
This verse looks forward to a dwelling with God beyond our current experiences of temples and sanctuaries. It anticipates an intimacy greater than we know now with God’s spirit. Jesus makes this explicit and personal, promising a custom place for us, which He will prepare, in His Father’s house. This promise makes all our earthly dwellings temporary and transient.
