Easter Hearts, Week 3, Day 7
by David Joynt on April 28, 2018
I call this the floating beatitude. It is far detached from the Sermon on the Mount, where Jesus gives us the famous group of nine blessings. But I am very glad it is here in John’s gospel.
It is our Beatitude in a unique way—it addresses those of us not present to meet Jesus in his earthly ministry. God honors the progress of our faith. He rejoices when our confessions deepen, as our doubts are answered and our trust and understanding grows.
Listen to this verse as a blessing given to you.
Use it to bless another believer.
FAMILY TIME—
As a family, you celebrate milestones and achievements in sports, music, home, or school. How do you celebrate spiritual advances?
