Everlasting November 20, 2025 Devotional

2 CORINTHIANS 8:7 |  ⁷Now as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in utmost eagerness, and in our love for you—so we want you to excel also in this generous undertaking.

Sanctification is the idea that, though our physical growth is limited and eventually peaks and declines, our spiritual growth and personal development is unlimited. We can grow in faith with ever greater expectations and experiences of God’s presence and power. We can grow in speech by learning to speak the truth in love, aligning our words with God’s truths, and discerning and expressing divine direction, comfort, and challenge. We can grow in understanding of creation, redemption, renewal, and knowledge of God’s will, ways, and character. We can grow in sincerity and purposefulness integrating values and deeds in earnest endeavors. We can deepen our capacity to love God and others. Finally, we can become more generous with our resources of time, talent, and treasure.
