Everlasting November 8, 2025 Devotional

JOHN 17:22-24 | ²² The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one, ²³ I in them and you in me, that they may become completely one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. ²⁴ Father, I desire that those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.

In these verses we see the way God unites heaven and earth in a glorious community of love. The very deep and eternal oneness of the Trinity, the connection of the most profound and perfect              communion of Father and Son, is the destiny of all who follow Jesus. Real love shares in the nature of God, who is Himself its source, and so it glows with a transcendent glory.

The language of oneness takes on a concrete meaning when we experience the internal love and presence of God through His Spirit within us. We share the same Spirit, and so the same connection to Christ and to one another.
