1 PETER 3:19-20 | 19 in which also he went and made a proclamation to the spirits in prison, 20 who in former times did not obey, when God waited patiently in the days of Noah, during the building of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight lives, were saved through water.
Genuine witnesses know what is at stake in the sharing of the gospel. The story of the flood is present in Genesis to demonstrate the necessary course of God’s judgement apart from His mercy. To be joined to Christ is to experience a divine grace and power that is the only antidote to disintegration and death. It is not an alternative worldview, a lifestyle option, or an innocuous preference between similar possibilities. It is a life and death decision, an eternal life and death decision.
Those who miss out on the opportunity to know the living Christ, miss out on the greatest opportunity anyone can ever have, as well as the greatest adventure.
