ACTS 2:9-11 | 9 Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretans and Arabs—in our own languages we hear them speaking about God’s deeds of power.
Words are the way we grasp the world. They allow us to analyze, to describe, to propose, to critique. They empower our expression, so that the inner feeling or thought can be made public and shared. Words can bless or curse, break down or build up. The highest use of our words, however, is to name with joy, the Name that is above every name.
Find a Psalm to express your praise today.
Read it out loud.
Gracious God,
Thank You for Your deeds of power. Thank You for words to praise Your mighty acts.
Amen.
