2 TIMOTHY 1:5 | 5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that lived first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, lives in you.
Timothy is a product of a three-generation family experience. His faith first lived in his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice. Faith is kindled, most of the time from the fire of someone else’s heart, and the faithful example of someone else’s life. Timothy was fortunate that two key women in his life were sincere disciples who encouraged him.
But Paul is also playing a role. He is reassuring Timothy that his own faith is evident and real. The community of faith stands with families to encourage and assist in the faith development of young leaders. What we do collectively, here and now, with our young leaders will impact the church here and beyond.
Choose a young person in the church to pray for and encourage.
