Invitation, Week 2, Day 12

PSALM 23| The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff—they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.
Analysis can cripple us. Have you ever felt life was a maze? Decisions are required, directions must be found, and dead ends a possibility. Mazes can be frightening because we can’t see around corners and anticipate the way paths connect and intersect.
Over time, reflecting on paths we’ve taken and decisions we’ve made, we see that some have led to the green pastures, some beside still waters, and some into the dark valley. Jesus wants to be a good shepherd, leading us toward a blessed life. We need to seek, confidently and completely, his direction in every part of our lives.
How do you seek the direction of the Lord?
Are you currently in the dark valley or the green pasture?
If you face a decision ask someone to pray for you.
