Invitation, Week 2, Day 13

MATTHEW 4:18-19| As he walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea—for they were fishermen. And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.”
Life can fall short because we aim too low. Fishing is a wonderful hobby and laudable, if unpredictable, career fishing for people is more complex, more rewarding, and lends to a deeper life experience.
Peter the fisherman became Peter the follower, Peter the missionary, Peter the leader, Peter the Saint. So did Andrew, James and John. The arena of their lives moved from the shores of the sea of Galilee to the Kingdom that never ends. Their impact has extended across time and space and culture.
You were meant to change the world, build God’s Kingdom, overturn injustice, prepare for eternity, and represent the living God. Don’t aim too low!
What do you aim for?
Ask God to widen your vision and grow your spiritual ambition.
