Lead Like Moses Devotional 13

by David Joynt on June 24, 2022

PSALM 23:1-3 | 1The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; 3he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.

To lead people you must know them. My cousins run a large construction firm in Ontario, Canada. They both can run every machine used in the complex building projects. Every person working for them knows that Tom and John have first hand knowledge of what it takes to do their particular job. This is a key source of their credibility as leaders.

Moses had a privileged background. His time as a humble shepherd put him in touch with regular life, with sleepless nights, and danger and long hard days. The best leaders are beside others before they are above them.

How varied have your work experiences been?

How valuable have they been?
