Live Your Blessing February 15, 2026 Devotional

ROMANS 5:6-8 | 6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Indeed, rarely will anyone die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person someone might actually dare to die. 8 But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us.
We are blessed because God notices us with a tender, fierce regard. We bless others when we notice them in that same way. We are blessed by our Heavenly Father when He goes beyond expectations and gives more than we deserve. We bless others when we too exercise extra mile generosity with them. This week we examine the power of blessing others despite themselves.
We are blessed by God despite who we are and the things we do. We stretch the truth to suit our own ends. We fail to see others as gifts and insist on seeing them as tools or obstacles. We fall into anger or jealousy or indifference or arrogance. Yet, “while we were sinners Christ died for us.” Before we had demonstrated a willingness to change, before we had submitted to His will, done a good deed, began to battle our demons and temptations. Before.
Meditate on this truth: God loved you before you ever deserved His love, His attention, or His regard—despite your weaknesses and flaws.
Gracious God,
It is Your love, mercy, and grace that alone can change us and make us new, not our resolve, our ability, or our strength. Thank You for loving us despite us.
Amen.
