Pray Without Ceasing, Week 5, Day 35
by David Joynt on July 06, 2019
PSALM 103:19-22 | The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all. Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, obedient to his spoken word. Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will. Bless the Lord, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul.
This week, along with the psalmist, we have been blessing the Lord. But we are not alone! The angels bless the Lord, the “mighty agents of God’s will” do so too. The hosts of heaven bless him and all his works join the chorus. When we bless others in his name he joins in that blessing. When we bless Him, all nature is in the choir!
Have you ever sung in a choir?
Notice the final verse—we return from a creation wide view to a personal one. Bless the Lord and someone else today. You and I, like Abraham and Sarah, are blessed to be a blessing.
