1 CORINTHIANS 2:2 | 2 For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
All of us should live at the foot of the cross. It is there we find forgiveness and an end to shame. It is there we hear the call to forgive others and find the strength to respond.
It is in the shadow of the cross that we can endure suffering, knowing our Savior bears the marks of the nails. It is in the light of the cross that we can see the deep brokenness of the world and its injustice. Standing next to the cross we are reassured of the depth and height and width of God’s love.
Our theology and our teaching and our ethics must be formed by the cross. It is the power of God, the wisdom of God, and the key to God’s character and nature.
The disciples who gathered at the original cross on the day of Jesus’ death, show us the place where we all true disciples must live.
Spend some time today at the foot of the cross.
What is glorious about the cross?
