Thank God it's Monday Devotional 21

by David Joynt on September 24, 2022

1 TIMOTHY 2:1-3 | 1First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and acceptable before God our Savior.

Representatives and public leaders need strong characters! Restraint in an atmosphere of distortion, courage to deal with clashing interests and competing groups, humility to admit mistakes, and make their promises fit their knowledge. They must see themselves as servants, avoid self-seeking, and refuse to be used or manipulated. They should seek to find justice, encourage opportunity, lift the fallen and weak, and reflect God’s goodness and love. They must do all this in a society where many people are very suspicious of politicians and people of faith.

So they need our prayers. Make prayer for those in authority a  priority in your life!

Take time to pray for political leaders.
