PHILIPPIANS 4:11 | 11 Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
Among the hardest works of Christian maturity in modern Western culture is contentment. Our advertising and marketing strategies aim at creating discontent with our current products and devices, so that we will focus on new and better versions. Unfortunately, new and better versions keep appearing all the time! This puts us in a state of perpetual discontent, materially speaking.
One wise savant said, “contentment is not getting what you want, but wanting what you have!”
How content are you?
Does some of your discontent relate to anyone else’s standard of living?
