The Upside Down World, Week 3, Day 2

by David Joynt on September 25, 2017

LUKE 15:1-10 CONTINUED

This chapter is about the suffering and joy of God. Losing sheep is a shepherd’s nightmare! It means leaving the flock to search for the missing one, it means worrying that wolves or other predators might attack, it means anxious hours calling and searching. Coins were often perforated and put into a necklace as a wedding memento, like our wedding rings. Losing a coin would be like losing your wedding ring and a frantic search would ensue. God is not a casual seeker, indifferent to the outcome of the search. He is desperate to recover his children.

Do you share God’s concern for those in dangerthe confused, the rebellious, the isolated?

FAMILY TIME—

Recall times when you were lost and times you had to find someone.

What did it feel like?
