The Upside Down World, Week 5, Day 6

by David Joynt on October 13, 2017

1 PETER 4:10-11

I like the way the reformed tradition deals with resources. The emphasis is on local control and responsibility. We decide through our Session what happens to all the dollars contributed and all the hours given.  That means there is direct accountability in every area of our investment. The congregation becomes a responsible network that supports, evaluates, and directs our ministries. If we invest in unwise ways, it can’t be hidden! If we invest wisely, and establish the right mission partnerships, it can be celebrated.

Talk about what money is—an asset that can be spent, invested, or saved.

How do we know what a good investment is?
