LUKE 14:21 | MATTHEW 23:37
Who came to the party? The crippled, poor, blind, and lame accepted the invitation. It was the special needs class that came. It was the ones who never get any regular invitations. It was the disabled, the excluded, the pitied, the undervalued, the ignored, the considered “less than normal” crowd.
Sadly, the original invitees miss out and don’t taste the dinner. They miss the gracious presence of the host. They forego the great opportunity. There is a time when the invitation cannot be taken up. The saddest words in English are “too late, too late!”
What does this say about God’s heart?
