JEREMIAH 29:11 | 11 For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.
Psychological theft is also a real and terrible phenomena. You can steal someone’s hope by constant negativity which makes every good possibility seem remote or impossible. A loss of hope breeds a loss of drive and purpose. Similarly, you can steal another’s confidence by mockery or derision. Feelings of inferiority and inadequacy can be paralyzing, so that someone’s gifts and talents go unused. Belittling language then becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Jesus had to resist these kinds of psychological assaults from His opponents.

Gracious God,
Give me security in You, in the knowledge You love me and have created me for good and great things. Help me withstand the corrosion of negativity.
