Under Construction, Week 7, Day 47

PHILIPPIANS 2:12-14 | Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed me, not only in my presence, but much more now in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Do all things without murmuring and arguing.
It is ok to be incomplete, just not to become satisfied with it. Christians are humble because they follow a Lord who lived a perfect life and who calls them into conformity with him. We know our incompleteness and imperfection. We are not forced to deny it or minimize it. We can face it, confess it, and address it. This avoids much pretense and much depression. We are the broken and the blessed and we accept it, humbly and gladly.
But we also long to be more like Jesus and we strive to grow in Christ.
Some people resist their incompleteness or hide it. Some people accept it as inevitable. Some acknowledge it and know God can alter it.
Which are you?
