VPC 2.0 Daily Devotional-47

ACTS 2:44 | 44 All who believed were together and had all things in common.

ACTS 4:32 | 32 Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private
ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common.

Yet another encouraging aspect of community life was the sense of common life, the intangible blessing of being “one.” This took tangible form in meals, worship times, fellowship, and shared resources. There is a mystical connection, an oneness in the Holy Spirit, that is felt when God’s people share their lives and ministry. It is deeper and richer than ordinary friendship. It is a unity of heart and soul, in Christ.

Have you known the joy of His connection, built on practical sharing and issuing in mystical union?

 Does it encourage you?
