World Changing Words Devotional-Day 24

EZEKIEL 37:5-7 | 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. 6 I will lay sinews on you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the Lord." 7 So I prophesied as I had been commanded; and as I prophesied, suddenly there was a noise, a rattling, and the bones came together, bone to its bone.
Before the prophet prophesies he must see the possibility that God will act to bring life to the mass graves he faces. Ezekiel gives an evasive or at least a non-committal answer to the question of whether the dry bones can become living people: “Only you know Lord?!” God wants to know what Ezekiel thinks and the prophet is a little coy.
But when the command then comes to prophesy to the bones, to call forth life from death, he obeys. It often takes, Jesus says, only faith the size of a mustard seed to release God’s divine power. We don’t always have certainty and a commanding confidence in our dry bones moments. But if we hear and obey, it is enough.
Are you obedient?
Do you act when your faith is a mustard seed size?
