Broken and the Blessed Week 7, Day 2

by David Joynt on February 20, 2017

DAY 44

MICAH 6:6-8

This peace implies justice, right relations among people and true community, where there is respect, understanding, and love. Everything in the human circle that disrupts this, from my internal psychological ills, that divide my soul, to the conflicts of international politics, all of it is opposed to God’s Kingdom plan.

Can you picture the perfect balance of law and freedom, equality and liberty? Can you imagine a world without prejudice or hatred or division or pointless rivalry? Without violence or intimidation or lying or manipulation? A world without pollution, environmental degradation, poverty, or want?

Picturing a different world, in line with God’s will, is the first step to achieving it. Do you agree?

Read Micah’s indictment of Israel in Chapters 6 and 7:1-7.

FAMILY TIME:

What injustice really bothers you?

Does it also bother God?

How do you know?
