MATTHEW 18:18| Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Emotional baggage can block the deep experiences God wants us to enjoy. Guilt or shame can alter all our intentions, making us defensive or prevent us from benefiting when we are affirmed or encouraged. Anger can breed resentment and bitterness, filling us with suppressed rage that emerges unpredictably or creates an undertone that pushes others away. The mercy of Christ is meant to free us from this baggage—to lighten the load we carry and to allow us to interact without interior obstacles.
Sometimes it takes work to jettison this baggage. This work may be counselling. It maybe confession to a friend and to God. It may be apology and reconciliation. Don’t let emotional baggage weigh down your kingdom travels!
