Invitation, Week 3, Day 19

1 PETER 1:1-3 | Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the exiles of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who have been chosen and destined by God the Father and sanctified by the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ and to be sprinkled with his blood: May grace and peace be yours in abundance. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

What are the “treasures” we can accumulate in heaven?

One treasure is the impact we have on the people we love, care for, and witness to. We can alter the population of the next life, helping precious people find their place in the great company of the faithful.

Imagine what it will be like to learn how your life investments, directly and indirectly, rescued others from trouble and poverty, or helped them move toward never ending goodness and grace.   Sometimes we help directly, other times we practice generosity and enable others to make the difference. Generosity and investment of love, time, and money helps people find both fortune and faith in this life, and final blessedness in the next.

Who do you want to see in heaven?

How did they impact your life?

How did you impact their life?

Pray for an inheritance that is imperishable.
