MATTHEW 25:23 | His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
Another treasure we can experience in heaven, which nothing can destroy or alter, is the joy of God. God loves us despite our weaknesses and shortcomings and we celebrate his amazing grace every Sunday. But like a parent who loves a child unconditionally, God wants us to develop and contribute to his work. Every good parent wants their child to make a difference, to bless others, to live a life that is worthy and worthwhile. God delights when we build his kingdom, when we repair the broken places and help the broken people, bringing love and justice to greater fullness. All our acts of giving please him and his joy and delight in our actions will be a cause for our joy in his presence.
Do something to delight God today.
